The historic Atlas Building was built in 1905 by renowned Columbus architect Frank Packard on the corner of Long and High Streets. Atlas Apartment designers went to great lengths to preserve the striking features and architectural character that have defined this landmark since the turn of the 20th century. Originally the Columbus Savings and Trust Building, The Atlas was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
The Atlas Building had not seen a major renovation since 1982–until now. A remarkable example of fin de siecle high-rise architecture, the first three floors feature dark-red stone columns. The next seven floors are done in red brick, while two over-scaled top stories form a crown of white stone with ornate terra-cotta detailing. The lobby features a pristine white marble staircase and atrium. Polished brass elevator cars wait to carry you up you to your new home.
The Atlas Apartments embody timeless, modern design for the upscale urban lifestyle. New York inspired, residents enjoy the welcoming metro environment and first class service provided by The Atlas Apartments in the heart of downtown Columbus.
Perfectly walkable, residents enjoy easy access to Gay Street’s flourishing eateries and nightlife destinations, the markets of Pearl Alley, downtown boutiques and limitless entertainment along the Scioto Riverfront and the Columbus Commons.
